A former US and international military official has been sentenced to six months in prison after he was convicted of two counts of conspiring with a foreign government to commit a crime, and was found guilty of two other crimes.
The sentence was announced by the US Justice Department on Friday and was the first time a US national has been sentenced to more than two years in prison.
